Hailing from Lexington, Kentucky, "Chained To Fate" is a unique rock/metal group that draws inspiration from a vast array of musical influences and molds it into a sound that's primed to take the heavy music scene by storm. Band members have been playing together in some form since high school and have developed an unconventional style that utilizes harmonic dual vocals layered over riff-laden music that transitions flawlessly from Sabbath-esque licks to breakdowns that wouldn't feel out of place on an early Slayer album. The band members have also played shows under the names "Art as War" and "Coalition" with other local musicians over the years, but adopted "Chained To Fate" in 2010 when the current linup of Chris, Dawn, Mike, Billy, David, and Benji began recording in Mike's home studio. Their sound has elicited great responses from audiences that have been captured by their unique style that hearkens back to the originators of the heavy metal sound while sacrificing none of the intensity that marks some of the more successful modern metal bands. While the vocal style and lyrics of "Chained To Fate" may be the first element to capture the listener's attention, the shredding guitars and rhythmic drumming will insure that no mosh pit remains motionless for long.
